Located in the heart of the Raymond L. Flynn Marine Park in Boston’s Eastern Seaport, 24 Drydock is an innovative, mixed-use development by Cronin Group, designed by SGA. The project entails the demolition of an existing three-story structure to make way for a striking eight-story, 285,325-square-foot facility. This new construction blends industrial and modern innovation, featuring marine industrial spaces, life sciences/research and development facilities, and community-oriented amenities. Anchored by tenants like Boston Ship Repair and Save The Harbor/Save The Bay, 24 Drydock serves as a hub for Boston’s evolving innovation ecosystem while paying homage to its maritime roots. The design aligns with the 2017 RLFMP Master Plan Update, maintaining the park’s industrial integrity while introducing forward-looking, economy-driving uses.
Standing at 154 feet, 24 Drydock offers state-of-the-art laboratory and office spaces, a restaurant, and a training facility, fostering community engagement and collaboration. The building includes inviting exterior balconies with panoramic city views, along with a beautifully landscaped plaza featuring outdoor seating and gathering areas. Thoughtfully designed to promote sustainability and functionality, the development’s Type-IB construction meets stringent modern standards, serving occupancies of A-3, B, M, and S-2. With its innovative design and strategic location, 24 Drydock is poised to become a landmark for Boston’s vibrant Seaport District.
