Indianapolis Convention Center

The Indianapolis Convention Center and Hotel project, a landmark development by Kite Realty Group Trust and the Capital Improvement Board (CIB), marks a significant addition to the city's architectural and functional landscape. Spanning an impressive 1.4 million square feet, this project includes the construction of the 39-story Signia by Hilton hotel, poised to be the tallest building in Indiana, and an additional 575-key Hilton Hotel. The building, designed by RATIO Design, features an all-glass exterior and integrates multiple occupancies such as A-2 , A-3 , R-1 , and S-2, adhering to the Indiana Building Code as a high-rise.

Constructed as a TYPE-IA building, the Signia by Hilton hotel boasts three ballrooms, including a 50,000 square feet main ballroom, a rooftop restaurant and bar, and a three-story podium with amenities like a balcony and pool deck. This project notably expands the convention center by 143,500 square feet, adding one of the largest ballrooms in the U.S. and a skywalk over Capitol Avenue, enhancing the connection to the existing convention center.
