Torrey Pines Fire Station 52

The Torrey Pines Fire Station is a new, permanent facility designed to support the vital emergency response needs of the surrounding community. Spanning approximately 14,665 square feet with a height of 33 feet, the state-of-the-art, three-bay fire station accommodates up to 11 fire personnel and three fire apparatus. The facility includes dorm rooms, a kitchen, watch and ready rooms, a station alerting system, and an IT data network, ensuring optimal functionality and response readiness. Built with Type-VB construction and designed for B, R-2, and S-2 occupancy, the station is equipped with all necessary utilities and infrastructure to support fire-rescue operations effectively.

In addition to the main structure, the project incorporates significant offsite improvements, including site grading, utility installations, and street and traffic enhancements along Torrey Pines Road to facilitate seamless egress and ingress for emergency vehicles. As the site is located within the Coastal Zone, the project underwent rigorous environmental and land-use assessments, requiring discretionary permits, surveys, and studies to meet regulatory standards. Once completed, the Torrey Pines Fire Station will provide a modern, efficient, and sustainable facility that strengthens the city’s emergency response capabilities and prioritizes community safety.
